World-class executives and global entrepreneurs from leading corporations gathered for the CEO Summit Manila 2019 at Shangri-La at the Fort in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig last May 29 and 30. The two-day event focused on a 4-point agenda: Leadership Legacy and Strategy, Value Chain, Risk and Crisis, and Mergers and Acquisition.
The purpose of the event is to help leaders adapt to changes by being innovative and strategic amid challenging times.
The first day was a full-day conference led by an impressive list of top executives in and out of the country. As one of the exhibitors in the event, Bossjob had the opportunity to gain insights about the pain points of hiring and talent retention by interacting with many executives and decision-makers of companies across industries. We were able to share more about our platform and how it can help businesses hire the right talents faster. It was indeed a meaningful exchange of knowledge.
Hon. Bong Suntay, the President & CEO of Clean Fuel & Basic Taxi, gave the opening remarks on the first day.
One of the speakers is Jamie Getgood, the Managing Director of Getgood Consulting Australia. He talked about delivering leadership from an industry closure by focusing on Australia’s exemplary brand, “Holden”. He said that during challenging times, they earned the trust of their people when they started to trust them and showed transparency about what was happening in the company.
The CEO of Dmark Group of Companies & Dermasia Corporation, Nikki Tang, also gave her talk about the three leadership mandates: the power to create meaningful relations with customers, the power to create better society, and the power to create leaders who can serve as inspirations to others.
The conference featured more executives from diverse industries who served as keynote speakers and panelists. Experts from top industries spearheaded the more deliberate discussion during the CEO Masterclass.
On the second day, we participated in the CEO Masterclass on leadership and crisis management led by Radu Palamariu (Managing Director APAC, Alcott and Robson Pte Ltd) and Amor Maclang (Founding Director, Geisermaclang Marketing Communications Inc.) respectively. It was a great networking session with c-suite executives. We discussed the common issues faced by leaders in various industries and shared some valuable insights on how to solve them.
Truly, corporate leaders should never stop learning relevant things to stay on top of their game. The way they think and act influences the people in their circle which in turn spread the effect to the bottom of the organization. Therefore, the whole business structure might possibly collapse in the near future. To get past through difficult times, the captain should always be in control. That’s why learning never stops. Business leaders should always pursue both professional and personal growth. Doing so will make them become tougher than tough times.
We appreciate the effort of the organizer, ASEAN HR, for the wonderful event. We are grateful to be part of this informative and inspirational event with the top executives from distinct fields. Also, we hope that our participation managed to deliver business value and positive impact. That is, to help businesses navigate through recruitment efficiently in this digital era by finding top talents quickly. This in turn, will help organizations move forward as soon as possible.
