Bossjob recently announced its plans to accelerate expansion in Singapore, Indonesia and Hong Kong after it successfully secured US$5 million in venture funding.
Launched in 2018, Bossjob was founded by Kiat How Quak and Anthony Garcia, who met at a networking event in the Philippines. The two founders identified a persistent problem within the recruitment landscape: finding suitable candidates in the country. This inspired them to revitalize the traditional job market in the Philippines.
With its new mobile app launch in February, Bossjob leverages on cutting-edge technology such as AI algorithms and Big Data, to accurately match active and highly-qualified talents and companies looking for hires that fit their requirements. As a result, this helps to reduces the recruitment inefficiency in the Philippines.
At present, Bossjob has over 2.9 million registered users, with more than 80% of talents initiating chats with companies at a high response rate between 60% to 80%.
Plans for global expansion came along the way when the number of Internet users in Indonesia totals 205 million out of 442 million of Internet users in Southeast Asia in 2022; proving to be a very promising market for Bossjob.
Leveraging on the success of job matching in the Philippines, Bossjob seeks to match even more highly-qualified talents to top companies in the other Southeast Asian markets, while constantly upgrading its product features for an enhanced user experience.
